Knowing more about Zotero!!

It has been quite a long time since the last time we had lessons on Mondays since it has been a day off on Mondays for several weeks. We continued working with Zotero, which is a referencing app that we were introduced last week. Since last week, we were only given the touch of it, we got to know more about the details in the lesson.

We were first told that there is no wifi working, which meant that we cannot do anything on our computers. Instead, we focused on listening to Mr.Paterson explain the detailed functions of Zotero. Throughout the lesson, I reassured how useful Zotero is. It does everything for you. All we have to do is to learn to use them and skim through the mentioned information to see if there is any mistake or missing information. In this process, Mr.Paterson told us that the style difference between APA and MLA clearly appears on titles. The difference is the place to use capitals. It references in APA style, so although it is tiring, we must fix it. I thought that I must be careful about this as I do feel like I would forget when I actually work with Zotero.

Another surprising fact I found out was that APA originally comes from science and, MLA is originally from language and literature, which causes the difference in mentioning the year of information. Science and technology develop over time, which creates the need for the reader to know when this information was published, however, literature is something that does not require the date and time, as the thought towards a literature piece change by people, not time.

Just to note down, the videos on Zotero is on Mr.Paterson's YouTube channel. I am thinking to refer to them when I have any trouble. In the lesson, I was able to gain multiple new knowledge. I am excited to actually utilize them in my work.
