On Tuesday’s lesson, we mainly focused on how to make an effective title slide. I honestly did not think title slides were as important as how Mr. Paterson had taught us, but I was able to clearly see the difference between the slide before the “touch” was given, and after it was given.
I was quite shocked when I was told that the normal title slides are very boring. Looking back at my previous presentation slides, I can infer that I am the type to use pictures for most of the slides in my presentations. However, there were several things I never cared about. First of all, I used big pictures but wrote letters ON them. I also bearly had dead space. Lastly, there was no “main object” in the pictures. This means most of the things Mr.Paterson told us weren’t done in my past ones. There were loads of things we’ve learnt during the lesson.
I really thought it’s important we learn how to present people properly as a presentation is a way of communication, that plays a huge role. Since I’ve learned loads, I’d like to make sure I put them into action when I present. I am looking forward to learning about what a good presentation slide is not only the title slides but also about the information slides.
